Mark Edwards is a photographer, Associate Professor and head of Lens Based Media at UoS. Based in East Anglia, his work draws upon the regions rich connections with both painting and literature.
His resulting large-scale works bring these associations together within the context of the contemporary landscape. His work has been exhibited extensively and is included in world-renowned photographic and art collections including the V&A, The Government Art Collection, The Hyman Collection of British Photography and Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery. Recent exhibitions include: ‘Into the Woods: Trees in Photography’, V&A, London & ‘A Green and Pleasant Land, Towner Gallery, Eastbourne. He is currently exhibiting in ‘Inheritance” at the Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery.
